​Joining Polyvore is Free for individuals and businesses.  You can join through Facebook or Twitter account or open a separate account. 
Follow the next three steps to get familiarise with Polyvore awesomeness!
  1. Create your Profile and bookmark the clipper tool, so you can clip any images and save it directly to polyvore while browsing internet.
  2. Find friends from other social media by connecting with other accounts within the settings
  3. Start clipping your items (products) to get the ball rolling​

Step by Step guide to create Your first “Set” on Polyvore
  1. Click  Create from top menu bar and select ‘Set’ from dropdown menu options
  2. You will see a blank canvas on left hand side and categories of items, backgrounds, embellishments, text, colours on the right hand side of your screen.
  3. Decide on a theme of your Set – colours, seasonal, themes, or just your favourite fashion products.
  4. Find suitable backgrounds for your theme; choose from magazine print, to digital papers and prints.
  5. Lets create Winter Inspiration board for this tutorial. Use search tool to find specific style of items to use in your Set. We searched for ‘Winter Background’  
  6. Once you are happy with your background, and then select your items which you wish to promote. See below, we have added our Merino Wool felt scarfs from our store. (Tip: First select products from your store / creations which you wish to promote through the set)  
  7. Find complimentary products to suit your theme and your store products. These products can be from other brands or fellow handmade businesses. You can also select products which are handmade or under certain Price to suit your Set theme. In this example, we selected products which complement our Scarfs colours and texture.
  8. With all the items you can crop their backgrounds, move them forward or backwards and layer them to create a visual treat! All these editing tools are very easy to use, no shortcut keys or complexity of Photoshop here!
  9. Add beautiful Quotes, title to your finished Set using the Text tool. Select from multiple fonts and colours.  
  10. Publish your Set to share it with your viewers. Insert set title and description with SEO friendly hashtags and publish it to your blog directly!!

Tips to make your Polyvore quick and effective
  1. Tag your product related keywords and search terms in your Profile description to increase SEO juices for your website & store.
  2. DO NOT link your Polyvore account with your other social media accounts. It does more harm than good. It will reduce the exclusivity of your Polyvore sets and has possibility of over sharing information.
  3. Organise your items in Polyvore by tagging them with relevant keywords. You can bulk edit your products, which is quick and easy. Get organised! This will save you time while creating sets.
  4. Open multiple search tabs by clicking on ‘+’ to the far right. This will save you lot of time and can view multiple options while creating sets
  5. Start building on sets as you go. Save them as draft until you are ready to publish. Work on the sets when inspiration strikes!
  6. Share your Sets in Polyvore groups and Pinterest for getting more exposure
